Nelius Buckley Photography
is a family run business and is based in Kinsale, Co. Cork.
In 1992 Nelius graduated from Mount Lawley College of TAFE in Western
Australia with a diploma of Applied Science in Photography. He worked
within the Australian photographic industry until his return to
Ireland in 1995. In 1997 Nelius won the Irish Professional Photographers
Association (IPPA) Wedding Photographer of the Year for best wedding
portfolio.
In 1998 he was again a finalist in the IPPA awards winning a merit
in the best wedding portfolio.
In 1999 he was a finalist in the IPPA awards after being awards
2 gold crests, 12 silver crests and 16 bronze crests in the awards
program.
In 2000 he again won a merit award in the national finals for
best wedding portfolio.
In 2001 he was again a finalist in the IPPA awards having received
2 gold crests, 16 silver crests and 6 bronze crests in the awards
programme.
2001 also saw one of his wedding images being chosen for the
Fuji Masterpiece Collection.
In April of 2001 he received an Associateship Award by the Irish
Professional Photographers Association. He also received the Qualified
European Photographer (QEB) by the Federation of European Photographers
and is only one of three Irish wedding photographers to receive
this award.
In 2002 he received a merit for Best Wedding Portfolio at the
national IPPA awards ceremony.
In August 2003 he won the Wedding Category in the summer judging
of the Kodak Photographer of the Year.
Nelius style of photography has a very broad appeal and along
with his wife Maureen try to ensure that they cater to a couples
specific needs and distance is not a problem.
